The senior pastor of the Glorious Church International, TGCI, Rotimi Adedunmoye, has assured Christians that if they have faith in the word of God, they will come out of the economic recession currently besetting the nation.

Pastor Adedunmoye, who made this statement on Sunday while delivering the sermon tagged “the pursuit of promise’, said that the word of God does not recognize recession.

He noted that though the agricultural sector, import and export, businesses, seem not to be booming, the word of God can bring anything into fulfilment.

While defining promise as the declaration of assurance that one will do a particular thing or not, and a pledge, guarantee or commitment of a person, the pastor said that “the validity of a promise depends on the capacity, integrity and willpower of the promisor and a tenacity of the promisee.”

He assured the faithful that God never fails his children, adding that as He established his covenant with His children Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, He will establish his promise with believers of His word.

According to him, God has the capacity, integrity and will power to bring his words to pass.

Speaking further, Pastor Adedunmoye said God has promised His children victory over death, deliverance from sin for those who believe in Him and eternal life.
