‘They Gave Their Best’ – Chelle Praises Super Eagles Players

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle has showered encomiums on the players following their impressive showing at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.

Nigeria won the bronze medals after a 4-2 penalty shootout victory over Egypt.

The team earned plaudits for their attacking performances throughout the tournament before they lost via penalties to Morocco.

Chelle revealed that he was proud of the players for their commitments while promising to build off the performance in Morocco.

He said: “What we achieved did not come by chance. There was a great deal of work done with the players. Building a strong group is not easy; managing different personalities requires calm and patience, but the players responded in the best possible way.
