Three Dead As OSPAC Commander Kills Member In Rivers

One Ikoro Humphrey, a member of the local vigilante group, OSPAC, operating in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area, was on friday killed by his commander.

But his death immediately sparked further killings.

THE WHISTLER gathered that the commander, who is the leader of the vigilante team, is said to hail from Ogbogu also in Onelga LGA.

He reportedly stormed Humphrey’s house and immediately shot him dead over an alleged disagreement between them.

A source close to the family told THE WHISTLER that Humphrey’s father, Eze Abururu Silvanus Ewuocha, who is a clan Chief in Erema had in anger, reportedly used his son’s rifle to retaliate his death by shooting back at the commander, killing him instantly.

The Command’s allies also immediately reinforced, stormed the house of his killerr and killed him- taking the death toll three.

According to the Spokesperson of the OSPAC in the area, Eze Gift Ohia, said, “We have been having conflicts and issues between the team members that have triggered to this incessant killings. Though we are working tirelessly on ways to see we address this conflict and get them resolved.

“I will not give you details at the moment as we intend resolving it without the attention of the media.”

The Rivers State Police Public Relations Officer, Nnamdi Omoni, when contacted said he is yet to get official report on the alleged incident.
