Three Die, One Injured In Osun Road Crashes

Three persons lost their lives in two different accidents in Osun State between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning.

A motorcyclist on Wednesday morning lost his life along Ikirun -Osogbo road in an accident and two persons reportedly died on Tuesday night in a crash involving three vehicles at Owode Ede in Osun State.

Our correspondent gathered that the motorcyclist and a female passenger were on the motorcycle on the Osogbo-Ikirun road when the accident happened.

The cyclist reportedly lost his life while the lady passenger sustained injuries in the crash that occured around 6:30am.

Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps, who arrived at the scene were said to have taken the injured victim to hospital and the corps was also taken to a mortuary.

The Sector Commander of FRSC, Osun State, Kudirat Ibrahim confirmed the incident to journalists on Wednesday.

She said the accident was caused by overspeeding. She advised motorists and cyclists to always obey speed limits and ensure that their vehicles are always in good shape before they set out on any journey.

Two persons who reportedly died on Tuesday night in another accident lost their lives in an accident involving three vehicles.
