Three Suicide Bombers Die In Failed Attack On UNIMAID

Three suicide-bombers were on Thursday night, killed while attempting to attack a female hostel in University of Maiduguri.

The president of the Student Union Government of the institution, Abu Babati who confirmed this said that there were two bomb explosions.

Babati said the first one went off at about 10.50pm on Thursday, with the second about two hours later, about 12 am on Friday.

He revealed that the first explosion occurred around the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine while the second explosion was around BOT Hostel, which is a female hostel.

On the casualty, an emergency worker involved in the evacuation said that: “Four security men in the university, including volunteers were treated for injury they sustained as no life was lost except the killed suicide bombers.”

The Whistler recalls that this is the second time in one week that a twin bomb blast will rock the university which has been under the attack of suicide bombing in recent time.
