Tiwa Savage Makes History As 1st Female Celebrity To Hit 10 Million Followers On Instagram

Nigerian singer Tiwatope Savage popularly known as Tiwa Savage has become the first female Nigerian celebrity to hit 10 million followers on Instagram.

Recall that Tiwa Savage signed an international recording deal with Universal Music Group (UMG), an American global music corporation and the world leader in music-based entertainment in 2019.

Davido is still the most followed Nigerian celebrity on Instagram with currently 14.9 million followers, while Tiwa is the most followed female celebrity and the first female to reach 10 million.

The next celebrity who is racing after Tiwa Savage and may be next to attain 10 million followers on Instagram is Nollywood Actress Funke Akindele, who is currently having 9,928,765 followers. Tiwa Savage leads Funke by a margin of about 70,000 follower.
