Trailer Carrying Coca Cola Bottles Rams Into Vehicles In Anambra

A multiple minor traffic crash was Tuesday recorded at the Upper Iweka by flyover bypass in Anmabra State when a Coca Cola trailer with registration number WDE711YE failed brake and rammed into RS300 Lexus jeep with registration number ABJ 929 SR and a Suzuki shuttle bus with registration number AWK 161 YZ.

An eyewitness told our correspondent that the driver of the trailer, one Mr Idiake Robert Uyi, lost control of the vehicle due to brake failure that was caused by over-speeding.

SRC Edor Florence, sector public education officer, Federal Road Safety Corp, Anambra State, said, “A total of five persons were involved in the crash (four male adults and one female adult). No injury and no death were recorded. The state sector commander, CC Andrew A Kumapayi, has advised articulated vehicle drivers to keep to recommended load capacity for their vehicles, and always maintain their vehicles before setting out for any journey to avoid preventable road traffic crashes.”
