Troops Arrest Alleged Mastermind Of Several Attacks In Southern Kaduna

The Defence Headquarters, on Thursday, said troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN, had arrested an alleged mastermind of the several crimes in Southern Kaduna.

Defence Spokesman, John Enenche, disclosed this while giving a general update on operations of the Armed Forces of Nigeria from 25 September to 7 October.

Enenche gave the name of the suspect as “Nuhu Pate.”

According to him, Pate was arrested by the troops in collaboration with personnel of Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology Kachia, on October 1, at Laduga in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

His arrest, the defence spokesman added, followed credible intelligence on his whereabouts.

He said: “On 1 October 2020, troops of Operation SAFE HAVEN in collaboration with personnel of Nigerian Navy School of Armament Technology Kachia, arrested an armed bandit, one “Nuhu Pate” at Laduga in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, following credible intelligence on his whereabout.

“Gentlemen of the press, it is noteworthy to mention that the suspect is allegedly one of the criminal masterminds behind several robberies, kidnappings and other heinous activities in the Southern Kaduna general area.”

Southern Kaduna had witnessed several gunmen attacks, leaving their trails, severe bloodbath.

It is believed by the people of the area that the attacks were mostly carried out by suspected herdsmen.
