Truck Crushes Man In Anambra

One male adult was weekend killed and four injured when a brown Mack truck with registration number XX 837 JJD rammed into a yellow Daihatsu Hijet bus without a registration number beside Toronto Hospital, along Asaba-Onitsha expressway. The accident occurred around 1735hrs.

An eye witness said the crash was caused by brake failure of the truck, leading to loss of control.

THE WHISTLER gathered that a total of six male adults were involved with four of them sustaining varying degrees of injuries and were taken to Toronto Hospital by the FRSC Team from Upper Iweka while the corpse of the dead was deposited at the morgue after being confirmed dead by a medical doctor.

Meanwhile, the sector commander, Federal Road Safety Corps, Anambra State, CC Andrew A. Kumapayi, while commiserating with the family of the deceased, warned motorists against breaking driving rules, including failure to maintain their vehicles.
