Trump Reacts To Second Impeachment Move As U.S. House Decides

The United States President, Donald Trump has reacted to moves to impeach him by the U.S. Congress which is scheduled to vote on a resolution today, Tuesday.

Trump, who spoke during his visit to the U.S. Mexico Border, advised the House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, to stop her second impeachment moves against him, saying that it is causing tremendous anger amongst Americans.

“On the impeachment, it is greatest witch-hunt in the history of politics, it’s ridiculous; it’s absolutely ridiculous.

“This impeachment is causing tremendous anger and it’s really a terrible thing that they are doing; and for Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schummer to continue on this path, I think it’s causing tremendous danger to our country. I want no violence,” he said, according to Bloomberg Quicktake reports.

THE WHISTLER earlier reported that Pelosi, had on January 7, called for Trump’s removal while accusing him of instigating a mob attack on the capitol on Wednesday.

She had also vowed to proceed with impeachment proceedings if that is not done fast.

True to her words, the House Democrats reconvened on Monday and called on Vice President Mike Pence to remove President Donald Trump over his alleged inciteful rhetorics.

The House are scheduled to vote on that resolution today (Tuesday) but they have also kept the option of impeachment open if Pence does not cooperate.

Meanwhile, the House Minority Leader, Kevin McCarthy, had formally notified Republican members on the need block a second impeachment of Trump.

Also, another Republican lawmaker, Jim Jordan, said that “unity and healing doesn’t happen with cancel culture and impeachment”.
