The judge who had been being criticized by Rogers said he(Rogers)  “knew exactly what he was doing”

“This is intolerable to the rule of justice; the court cannot just sit idly by and say ‘that’s just Roger being Roger, ” she said.

Recall that U.S. prosecutors had written a sentencing memo that “Stone’s lies to Congress and his obstructive conduct are a direct and brazen attack on the rule of law,” and also recommended up to nine-year imprisonment for Trump’s former aid.

The U.S attorney general overturned their decision, moments after Trump attacked the court process in a tweet, calling the sentencing recommendations ‘horrible.’

But the attorney general later criticized the tweets by President Donald Trump, Congress and news editorials about the U.S. justice system, adding that it wearies their resolve to do their work well.

BBC reports that Trump hinted that he would grant his former ally pardon.
