Twitter CEO Visits Nigeria 3 Years After Facebook’s Zuckerberg

The co-founder and CEO of Twitter, Jack Dorsey, has arrived Nigeria.

Dorsey’s visit will boost the spotlight the country’s tech businesses have received since 2016 when Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg visited Nigeria.

The Twitter chief who arrived Nigeria on Thursday evening, announced his arrival in a tweet: “So grateful to finally be in Nigeria”.

Dorsey on Friday visited the Co-Creation Hub in Yaba, Lagos State, the commercial capital of Nigeria.

He met with tech entrepreneurs during a question and answer session organized by CcHUB, a leading technology innovation centre in Lagos.

The Twitter CEO took to the social media platform to share photos of himself with some tech enthusiasts who asked him several questions at CcHUB.

Dorsey is expected to also visit Ethiopia, Ghana, and South Africa, during his tour of the African continent.

THE WHISTLER had reported how Facebook CEO, Zuckerberg, quietly visited Nigeria in September 2016.

Zuckerberg paid a surprise visit to CcHUB which is sometimes referred to as Nigeria’s Silicon Valley.

He delivered an impromptu speech before CcHUB’s workers who didn’t know he was coming.

“This is my first trip to sub-Saharan Africa. I’ll be meeting with developers and entrepreneurs, and learning about the startup ecosystem in Nigeria. The energy here is amazing and I’m excited to learn as much as I can,” the Facebook CEO had said.
