Two Die In Anambra Auto Crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Anambra sector command, has confirmed the death of two persons in a lone accident at the Ekulo River in Oraifite, Owerri-Onitsha Expressway, on Wednesday.

The FRSC Sector Commander, Mr Adeoye Irelewuyi, confirmed the accident in Awka on Thursday.

According to Ireyewuyi, the accident occurred on Wednesday night when an ash-colored Toyota Sienna, said to be over speeding, lost control of the vehicle.

“Eyewitness report reaching us states that the unidentified driver of the vehicle was overspeeding when he lost control and rammed into a ditch.

“Seven passengers were involved in the crash – five male adults and two female adults.

“The injured victims were taken to Josephine and Lawrence Hospital, Oraifite, where two male adults were confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” he said.

According to him, the remains of the deceased had been deposited at Restland Mortuary in Oraifite.

Irelewuyi, while condoling with the families of the deceased, warned motorists against over speeding and dangerous driving.
