U.S Governor Names October 6 ‘WIZKID Day’

Nigerian music star, Wizkid is being celebrated as Governor of Minnesota in the United State of America, Mark Dayton, officially set aside October 6 as WIZKID Day.

This is coming after Wizkid became the first African artist to sell out the Skyway Theatre Minneapolis.

The Governor of Minnesota described Wizkid as ”One of the most influential artists” as he performed some of his hit singles like ‘Soco’, ‘Manya’, In My Bed’ and ‘Ojuelegba’ before a sold-out crowd.

According to the sealed and stamped document, the reason for this huge landmark is to honour the singer for his numerous achievements in music and for his role as a culture influencer.
