U.S. President Trump Made 16 Thousand False Claims In Three Years – Report

President of the United States, Donald Trump has been accused of making an unprecedented 16,241 false or misleading claims in his three years in the White House.

This was disclosed in a publication released by The Washington Post’s Fact Checker on Monday.

According to the data, in 2019, the US president reportedly more than doubled the number of false or misleading claims he made compared to his first two years in office combined.

Trump allegedly made 8,155 claims in 2019, to surpass his 7,688 of 2017 and 2018 put together, it further stated.

The report estimates Trumps misleading claims at an average of over 22 claims per day in 2019.

About 1,000 of the claims last year were in connection with Trump’s comments about his dealings with Ukraine, which were the subject of his impeachment.

According to the data, nearly 70 times, Trump alleged a whistleblower complaint about his call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky was inaccurate, adding that the report captured the content of the call and other details of the report have been confirmed.

The Post’s Fact Checker alleged that other claims are issues relating to the economy or jobs, adding that one in six are about immigration.

It also alleged that 20 percent of Trump’s false and misleading statements are from his tweets.
