United Fans Demand Manager’s Sack In A ‘Get Ole Gunner Out’ Campaign 

Manchester United fans have petitioned head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, executive vice chairman Woodward and club owner Glazer family after another 2-0 loss to Burnley at the Old Trafford in the English Premier League.

The development follows the poor performance of the Red Devils who are 5th place in the league table having lost 8 and drawn 7 games with a 2-0 consecutive loss to Liverpool and Burnley respectively.

The petition on change.org reads: “We need to get him (Ole Guner Solskjaer) out ASAP before he does any more damage to this once mighty club.”

Fans left the scanty stadium empty as part of the campaign with about 10 minutes left to the end of the game as they were angry at the 2-0 loss and the protest was directed to the manager, Woodward, who was away on club business, and American owners the Glazer family.

The get ‘Ole out of United’ campaign which started 9 months ago has taken a new shape as it has so far gotten over 1,500 registered supporters on the website after the loss.

The Norwegian in a post-match interview admitted that the team’s failure on the pitch was his fault, but however covered up his bosses who could not provide him with any new signing in January.

He said: “I’m responsible for what’s happening on the pitch and of course we’re looking to strengthen.

“We took that decision that some players we let them go to start afresh with clear sight on a target in front of us.

“They have to be a certain type of player, and yes we know we have to get quality and numbers in.”

Solskjaer was appointed caretaker manager in 2018 and he signed a contract to be at the club on permanent bases in 2019, however the club have so far lost its winning streak.

Meanwhile, United fans have taken the campaign o twitter to protest the sack of the manager and the club owners.

@Moyesout4ever shared a video of disappointed ex-United player Rio Ferdinand saying: “these young kids now in their schools around the country, they’re not gonna be wearing Man United shirts” “Fans are walking out after 84 mins, it’s an embarrassment”

The premier league media @Footballjh1 reacted to the campaign by tweeting: Asked this before, ask it again is this ole Gunnar the worst manger in the premier league? #OleOut #MUNBUR.
