University Suspends Student For Smoking, Selling Indian Hemp In Hostel

The Management of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has suspended one Chimara Prince of the Guidance and Counselling Department for having large sacks of Indian hemp in his possession, which he reportedly sold freely to fellow students in the hostel.

The institution also alleged that Prince is a chronic marijuana smoker and smokes openly in the hostel without regard for the feelings of his roommates.

Vice Chancellor of the university, Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele, in a statement said the suspect had been handed over to the police for further interrogation and that his case has also been referred to the Senate Disciplinary Committee of the institution to decide whether or not to expel him.

Professor Ndimele saluted the courage of students who brought the “dangerous act of Mr. Chimara Prince” to the knowledge of the school management.
