Justice Mohammed Idris of the said court had found the two former senior INEC officials guilty of the offences on Thursday, but did not pass the prison sentence until today, Friday.

They were said to have received the huge sum in 2015 from a former Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke, to compromise the general relations that held that year.

It was gathered that the ex-INEC officials received the money which was allegedly moved from the NNPC to a suspense account in Fidelity Bank by Mrs Alison-Madueke.
