US Condemns Iran’s Opposition To Israel/UAE Peace Deal

The United States Government has frowned on the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ali Khamenei, for his opposition to the recent Israel-United Arab Emirates peace deal.

The Iranian leader had accused the UAE government of betraying the Middle East.

But, US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, debunked his allegations, maintaining that the bilateral agreement between Israel and UAE would foster peace in the region.

“The world must reject and condemn @Khamenei_ir’s ideology of hatred.

” The children of Abraham – Muslims, Christians, and Jews – rejoice at the prospect of peace, while @Khamenei_ir calls for more violence.

“The U.S. stands with the UAE and all those seeking a brighter future,” Pompeo tweeted on Wednesday.

On his part, Khamenei, on Tuesday stressed that UAE had let Palestinians down in its fight for territorial sovereignty.

“The #UAE betrayed the world of Islam, the Arab nations, the region’s countries, and #Palestine.

“Of course, this betrayal won’t last long,” he stated.

Recall that Israel and the UAE, under the supervision of the US, had on August 13, agreed to boost economic relations, which also included the halting of further annexation of Palestinian territories.

But, the President of Palestine, Mahmoud Abbas, swiftly frowned on the agreement, stating that it was dead on arrival.

“The leadership strongly rejects and condemns the American-Emirati-Israeli tripartite declaration,” he had stated.

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, also said that Israel would not leave its ancient historical territories, including Jerusalem.
