Graham queried the CEOs on why they had restricted a New York post’s publication about President-elect Joe Biden’s son, Hunter.

The news medium had reported that Hunter allegedly made millions of dollars through illegal deals in Ukraine.

President Donald Trump had used the Hunter story to attack Biden during the campaign.

“What I want to try to find out is: if you’re not a newspaper at Twitter or Facebook, then why do you have editorial control over the New York Post? That to me seems like you’re the ultimate editor,” Graham said.

In his response, Jack Dorsey admitted that Twitter was wrong to censor NY Post Hunter Biden article.

“We made a quick interpretation using no other evidence that the materials in the article were obtained through hacking, and according to our policy, we blocked them from being spread. Upon further consideration, we admitted this action was wrong and corrected it within 24 hours,” he said.

On his part, Zuckerberg told the committee that his company was not trying to be the “arbiter of truth”.

He also admitted that they had made mistakes in their censorship of people , but he added that Facebook was committed to doing its best in fighting misinformation.
