Pro-Biafran protesters drawn from various civil society organizations, Thursday, stormed the Pall Mall Street, Westminster, ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with Queen Elizabeth II, and other heads of state.
The protesters are requesting the release of Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) and a referendum on the fate of Biafra.
Buhari is attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting, CHOGM, which is currently ongoing in London.
The Queen is declaring the meeting open today with President Muhammadu Buhari and other Heads of Government in attendance.
Today’s meeting will be held at the Buckingham Palace, which is about 650 meters away from Westminster.
