VIDEO: Buhari ‘Crosschecks’ Aisha’s Ballot Paper If She Voted For Him

A trending video on social media suggests that President Muhammadu Buhari crosschecked First Lady Aisha’s ballot paper to be sure she voted him and not another presidential candidate in the ongoing election.

In the video, President Buhari could be seen peeping into the ballot paper his wife was holding. Both the President and the First Lady are in their home town of Daura in Katsina State where they had gone to cast their votes.

It’s not certain if the President was truly trying to double-check Aisha’s choice for the Presidency, but Nigerians on social media are alluding that the President wanted to be sure the First Lady didn’t thumb print for the presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.

Mrs Buhari had been purported on different occasion as not being totally in support of her husband’s re-election bid due to statement’s she made in the past that she may not campaign for the President if he continues to allow his government to be controlled by an alleged “cabal”.

She told a foreign media organization that Buhari’s administration had been hijacked by a few powerful persons who dictate how the President runs his government.
