Boakye-Yiadom, in a video circulating the internet, also urged the officers to eat well so as to be fit for the election exercise.

“Control yourself, we all need the energy to work during the election. I, therefore, advise all of you to eat well, reduce your sexual rounds for you to get the energy to work well before, during and after 2020 elections,” he said.

The forthcoming Ghanaian general election will see the incumbent president, Nana Akufo-Addo, slugging it out with his main challenger and former president, John Mahama.

Mahama had been declared as the candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in 2019.

Akufo-Addo, on his part, is seeking re-election on the platform of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for another four-year term.
