VIDEO: Saraki Vents Anger On Police IG: ‘Accompanying Buhari To Bauchi Out-of-Place’

Senate President Bukola Saraki on Thursday expressed displeasure over the decision of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to shun senate invitation.

The Police Chief was invited by the senate to brief the upper legislative house on the security situation in Benue state and the nation, following heightened attacks and killings recorded in some parts of the nation.

But to the surprise of the lawmakers, Idris shunned the invitation, as he accompanied President Muhammadu Buhari to Bauchi for the commissioning of an Air Force facility in the Northern state.

Reacting in a video posted by the official Twitter handle of the Nigerian Senate, Saraki, who was upset with the IGP’s decision, asked Idris to appear before the red chamber by 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 2, 2018.
