Voting, Counting Of Votes May Continue Till Night In Many Polling Centres in Kano

Vote counting is underway in several pulling units across Kano Metropolis while the process may begin late in the evening in several places, especially in rural areas where voting did not start until past 10am.

THE WHISTLER Visited several polling centres in Nasarawa Local Government Area at about 3:30pm and counting had already begin.

At Gwagwarwa polling unit, voting ended at about 2:30 and by 3:30 only one ballot box out of three remained to be counted.

À PDP supervisor at the unit, Salihu Ibrahim, said there was no incident at the centre and thé election was free and fair.

“INEC officials and thé police did not show bias and everything went well,” hé said.

But when the reporter visited Dawaki Tofa LGA, long queues were seen at several pulling centres. Many of the voters said accreditation did not begin as scheduled.

At Ganduje unit where Governor Abdullahi Ganduje voted, there are 409 registered voters and voting was still on-going at the centre.

At Kabo LGA, counting had started in several centres but voting was still going on in a few polling units.
