Waje In Isolation Over Rumoured Coronavirus Infection At AMVCA 2020

Nigeria artist, Waje has revealed she received “Direct Messages” on Instagram that one of the participants in the just concluded African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) had symptoms of the novel coronavirus.

The rumour was heightened after controversial  Nigerian blogger, Kemi Olunoyo claimed a popular Nigerian celebrity , who attended the AMVCA , had tested positive to Coronavirus.

The messages have forced Waje into self-isolation as advised by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control.

The songwriter and actress disclosed this on Instagram on Friday.

According to Waje, she “got a lot of Direct Messages about those who attended the AMVCA to self-isolate.”

Though she said she was not in panic, Waje added that she was going to contact all persons she has had contact with after the award to also self-isolate.

During the AMVCA, some of the celebrities behaved smart, wearing special nose masks.

Stars like  Omasola and Ifu Enada stepped into the arena  wearing  attires with special nose mask design as a preventive measure against the deadly coronavirus..
