We Are Not Recruiting, NNPC Warns Public

Following reports purportedly emanating from the Corporation that it was recruiting, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), on Sunday, insisted that it is currently not recruiting.

In a statement by Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Ohi Alegbe, the NNPC warned members of the public to disregard any publication or invitation in that regard.

The statement called on members of the public to be wary of fraudsters sending letters to unsuspecting individuals inviting them for “the second process of recruitment” which is billed to hold on 29th February, 2016.

“The scam invitation letters which direct recipients to pay the sum of N21,500 into a certain account number with Zenith Bank purportedly for “onshore and offshore/training kits/materials should be discountenanced,” the statement added.

According to the corporation, such letters where not sent by the corporation, and anyone who entertains such invitations or deals with peddlers of such invitations does so at his or her own risk.

He also urged anyone contacted for the purpose of the purported recruitment by the Corporation to report such person or persons to relevant law enforcement agencies.
