We Didn’t Know TB Joshua Would Die Early – Monarch, Kinsmen

The monarch of Arigidi Akoko, in Akoko North-West Local Government Area of Ondo State, Oba Yisa Olanipekun, has said the news of the death of Prophet Temitope Joshua came to him as a rude shock.

Oba Olanipekun and some Joshua’s kinsmen who spoke on Sunday said they did not know the cleric would die so early.

The late pastor was from Arigidi Akoko and he was well loved by his kinsmen for his generosity apart from being a renowned teleevangelist.

The monarch said in an interview with journalists on the telephone on Sunday that Joshua’s death was not expected at this time and that he would be sorely missed by his kinsmen.

The monarch described Joshua as a “philanthropist and peace lover who had put the town’s name in global recognition.”

Also, some Indigenes of the town have also described the death of the prominent son of the town as shocking.

An Indigene of the town, Chief Julius Ademola, said, ” Nobody expected that Prophet TB Joshua could die this early but that is how it pleases the Lord.

” The Lord gives and takes, blessed be his mighty name.”

The Chief Imam of Agbaluku Arigidi Akoko, Alhaji Salisu Musa, who is also said to be an uncle to Joshua expressed surprise at the death of the pastor.

He said it was a mystery that Joshua suddenly passed away on Saturday few days to his next birthday without sickness.

Joshua was billed to celebrate his 58th birthday on June 12. He took to his Facebook page on June 3 to declare that the celebration would be low-key because of the situation around the world. He urged his followers to remember the poor.
