We Understand Your Anxieties And Fears – Abike Dabiri Addresses Nigerians In Diaspora

The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NIDCOM) has called on Nigerians within and outside the country to show solidarity with one another and comply with various health guidelines in their respective countries of sojourn.

NIDCOM’s chairperson, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, disclosed this in a video tweet on Friday.

“We’ve been reaching out to Nigerians globally and we understand your anxieties and fears; we appeal to you to stick to the health advice in your various countries of residence,” she said.

She also said that as nations practice social distancing, Nigerians should keep in touch with one another through phone calls and all forms of moral support.

She further said that the travel restrictions by the federal government do not mean Nigerians who chose to come home cannot do so, but she added that they must self-isolate for 14 days.

“Nigerians at home, Nigerians abroad; stay safe, keep safe,” she said.
