We’ll End Biafra Agitation In 3 Months – Peace Corps

The Commandant General of the National Unity and Peace Corps (NUPEC), Dr. Chinedu Nneji, has vowed that the Corps will put an end to secession calls in the country within three months.

Nneji said this following Wednesday’s passage of the Nigerian Peace Corps (establishment) bill by the Nigerian Senate.

He equally assured Nigerians that security threats posed by activities of Boko Haram insurgents will come to a halt within the said time.

“We have studied the problems of the country and as I speak with you, we have already prepared our officers and men to be able to launch into the society and restore total peace,” he said.

“I assure you, three months after the assent of Mr. President, you will see that the entire country will come to normalcy. Agitation of secession by the Biafrans, the quit notice from the Northern youths and all other agitations in the country now, all will be stopped.”

“We will also dialogue with Boko Haram to make sure that they stop all bombings,” Nneji added.
