Following the ban of the two actress, some celebrities have questioned why TAMPAN had to put a ban on them, when the person making the accusation was left off the hook.

Popular Yoruba Actor, Funsho Adeolu took to his Instagram page to express how disappointment he is about the ban.

He wrote, “My face is covered, not because of Covid but in shame on behalf of those who call themselves leaders of local association and do not have the interest of members at heart. God is watching.”

Comedian Debo Adebayo well know as Mr. Macaronii also took to his Twitter to say, “TAMPAN suspends Iyabo Ojo. Not only did they suspend her, there was a full press conference stating a million and one things she did wrong. Interesting how this is happening only after Baba Ijesha was granted bail. Really interesting.

“Look around you, your companies, your industries, your work environment. Look at the structure and the leadership. Then we will see a lot of similarities with the same government that we are so quick to criticize.”

@casspernyovest on his opinion said, “When you keep quiet cause you’re good, they crucify you. When you speak out for those who are affected even though you are not, they crucify you. Can’t win with people. I just hope all my people find a way.”

@alabaultimate appreciated actor Funsho Adeolu for his courage,

He wrote, “I applaud you for being courageous my brother, Not happy about the whole situation. This is why Nigeria is backward in everything. Are we now saying we support the act in which Baba Ijesha was accused? I just think this sends a wrong message. Once again thanks for speaking your truth on this matter.”

Iyabo Ojo who reacted to the ban however said, “I can never be silenced, know that & know God period.”

TAMPAN on Sunday placed a ban on Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing Sunday and warned movie directors and producers to desist from working with them until the association rescinds its decision.

Speaking on why the ban was necessary, Jide Kosoko who spoke on behalf of the association said the association has been rubbished by the actions of the two actresses over the past weeks and it was time to take decisive steps to address the issues.

“The industry is large and it is normal to have some black sheep that would want to act bigger than the association but we will not sit back and watch that happen to us.

“Some of us who built this association to this level would not watch anyone drag it through the mud as though we have no leadership.

“We have banned Nkechi Blessing and Iyabo Ojo and we will ensure that none of them is invited to location by movie producers. This is a total ban and we are backed by a constitution that must be respected,” he added.
