Popular private messaging app, WhatsApp, has warned users who download and use clone apps to desist from such or risk being blocked permanently from its platform.
The Facebook-owned company issued the warning against the backdrop of the popularity a clone app, GB WhatsApp, is gaining among its users.
The company warned that should users continue to use the clone app, they could be suspended or blocked from WhatsApp permanently.

The clone app is said to exhibit certain features that cannot be found on WhatsApp.
“If you received an in-app message stating your account is ‘Temporarily banned’ this means that you’re likely using an unsupported version of WhatsApp instead of the official WhatsApp app.
“If you don’t switch to the official app after being temporarily banned, your account might be permanently banned from using WhatsApp,” WhatsApp said.
The company also warned that such clone apps could be a threat to users’ safety as they violate security protocol.
“Unsupported apps, such as WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, or apps that claim to move your WhatsApp chats between phones, are altered versions of WhatsApp.
“These unofficial apps are developed by third parties and violate our Terms of Service. WhatsApp doesn’t support these third-party apps because we can’t validate their security practices”, WhatApp said.

They ban users when they’re enjoying there chat with friends, especially users from different countries, nothing last forever your time will soon end, if you are not satisfy with the clone apps you can build your official clone app. You did same thing to blackberry company.
