Wife Who Murdered Ex-PDP Chairman’s Foster Son Plots Cover-up With Mum

The alleged brutal murder of Bilyaminu Muhammed Bello by his wife, Maryam Sanda, has taken a new twist as the latter has reversed her prior confession.

Maryam had earlier reportedly confessed to stabbing her husband multiple times at their Maitama residence over alleged infidelity.

Bilyaminu, who is the foster son of ex-National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr. Haliru Bello, was stabbed multiple times on his chest, shoulder, and inner thigh and was with traces of human bites on his stomach.

But the story changed when, after confiding in her mum Hajia Maimuna Aliyu, Maryam made a u-turn to say her husband sustained injuries from a fight that ensued between both of them, after which he gave up the ghost.

She equally denied confessing to the multiple stabbings on the alleged instructions of her mum, who was recently nominated into the board of the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).

But Maryam’s new narrative to the Police is considered to be an afterthought, having realised the consequences of her evil deed.

Sources close to the deceased have also expressed amazement at how quick the bloodstains at the scene of the murder were mopped up within few hours.

One of the sources who preferred anonymity said “the murder weapon disappeared when close family members came around. The flower vases and a certain shisha pot were broken to corroborate Maryam’s new statement at the station.“

Bilyaminu’s wife has since been arrested and taken to the Police Command in Garki as investigation has been launched into the matter.

Meanwhile, another source expressed shock that Bilyaminu’s foster father, Bello, treated the alleged killer’s mother to a warm reception when she paid a condolence visit.

The WHISTLER gathered that arrangements are being made by the duo to hire the services of a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to bury the matter.
