Wilfred Ndidi Named Leicester’s Young Player Of The Year

Nigeria midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, has won Leicester City’s young player of the year award for the 2017/18 season.

The Super Eagles star beat Ben Chilwell and Demarai Gray to pick the plaque at Leicester City for the second time in the club’s annual awards night on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old currently tops both the Club’s and the Premier League’s overall tackling charts, making a brilliant 138 interventions to date.

Ndidi who joined the King Power Stadium outfit in January 2017, has made 33 league appearances for the club with four assists to his name.

On the other hand, Harry Maguire won the Foxes player of the season award, while Jamie Vardy, was presented with the Goal of the Season prize, in acknowledgement of his first-time, left-footed volley in his side’s 4-1 win over West Bromwich Albion in March.
