World Cup: Immigration Raises Alarm Over Planned Attack On Football Viewing Centers

The Nigerian Immigration Service, NIS has cautioned Nigerian football lovers to avoid “vulnerable viewing centers and relaxation spots during the ongoing FIFA world cup.”

The service, in a statement signed by Comptroller of Immigration/PSO, IS Babson, on behalf of the Comptroller General, Muhammad Babandede on Monday, said the directive follows intelligence report it received.

Babandede ordered all Zonal Coordinators, Commandants Training Institutions and Command Comptrollers to be security conscious and ensure that “NIS properties within your area of responsibility are adequately protected against any attack.”
