Yoruba Nation Rally: Stray Bullet Kills Girl

A young girl simply identified as Jumoke has been killed by stray bullet allegedly fired by security agents to disperse Yoruba Nation agitators at Ojota area of Lagos.

The girl was hit by a stray bullet which riped open her stomach as she was displaying drinks at a shop close to the venue of the protest.

Sympathisers gathered round the corpse of the girl which was covered with a piece of cloth.

The protest started peacefully as the pro- Yoruba Nation agitators arrived and chanted freedom songs while the Commissioner of Police , Hakeem Odumosu, was addressing journalists.

It, however, turned rowdy and security agents fired shots to disperse the protesters and sprayed hot water at them from the police water cannon.
