You Can Now Use Skype Without Creating An Account
In a bid to lure more people to its app, Microsoft has made it easier for users to use Skype anywhere in the world without an account.
In a blog post, the company said users can now make audio, video call and messaging without downloading the app or entering a password.
Instead, users now have to join Skype as a “guests,” and will receive a link that is then used to share and invite others to join the conversation through e-mail or your social networks.

On clicking this link, people can join also your conversation without signing in provided they’re using Skype for Web.
You can invite up to 300 people via chat and up to 25 people on a voice or video call, all for free,” as revealed in the blog.
These features include one-to-one and group instant messaging, voice and video calls, screen sharing, and file sharing.
To get started, visit Skype.com, click “Start a conversation,” and enter your name. Then copy and share your unique link to connect with friends.

“Best of all, you can still enjoy all of Skype’s free features, including one-to-one and group instant messaging, voice and video calls, screen sharing, and even file sharing—so everyone can join the fun,” a company blog entry said.
However, Guest conversations are limited to 24 hours before disappearing. To return to a discussion, make a call, or use Skype Translator, you’ll need to sign up for a free account.
Guest access was originally introduced in October 2015 to US and UK users, but the feature is now available to folks worldwide.
Previously, Skype required users to have an account, but this new update makes the software accessible to anyone.
