You Helped Obama Undermine Jonathan’s Anti-Terrorism War, FFK Slams Presidency

Former Aviation Minister, Femi-Fani Kayode, has knocked the Presidency for accusing Barack Obama of not helping Nigeria fight terrorism after allegedly aiding the former U.S President to undermine Goodluck Jonathan’s war against terrorism.

Fani-Kayode said this following the claim by the Presidency that the Nigerian government did not receive the support and cooperation it deserved from the Obama-led U.S government to fight the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents.

Mallam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, had said this ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s meeting with President Donald Trump at the White House.

Shehu said, “It is important that cooperation between the two countries have manifestly increased under the Trump’s presidency. If you recall sometime back, the President had reason to openly complained that we are not receiving as much as we thought we deserve in terms of support and cooperation especially in our fight against terrorism back then during the Obama period,” adding that “And it will seem that quite dramatically and interestingly, a lot of the obstacles are being removed under the Trump’s presidency and doors are being opened and we are receiving far more support than most people had expected.”

But reacting in a tweet on Monday, Fani-Kayode accused the Buhari administration of helping Obama to weaken Jonathan’s anti-terrorism war so as to enable them seize power from the previous administration.

The former minister tweeted, “You accuse Barack Obama of not helping Nigeria fight terror and you are right. However you conspired with him, you helped him to undermine Goodluck Jonathan’s war against terror and in return, he put you in power. You are the greatest terrorist that has ever ruled Nigeria. and Barack Obama put you there!”
