You Went To Paris To Insult Nigerians Again, Fani-Kayode Tells Buhari

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has said President Muhmmadu Buhari went to the Paris Peace Forum in France to insult Nigerians.

Describing Buhari as ‘unpatriotic’, Fani-Kayode accused the President of demeaning the citizens over his comments at the Paris Peace Forum.

President Buhari had delivered an address titled “Illicit Financial Flows & Corruption: The Challenge of Global Governance” at the opening ceremony of the forum on Sunday.

Buhari had in his address said, “Our experience in Nigeria is that financial crimes, such as corruption and fraudulent activities, generate enormous unlawful profits which often prove so lucrative that the threat of a jail term is not sufficient to deter perpetrators.”

Reacting however on Monday, Fani-Kayode in a series said no Nigerian past leader has “ever denigrated or insulted the Nigerian people the way he [Buhari] keeps doing.”

The former minister said it is “self-deprecating” and “unpatriotic” for the President to ‘run down the Nigerian people’ that voted him into power in 2015.

“God will judge him for demeaning us before the world and calling us what we are not,” Fani-Kayode said
