You’re A Disgrace To Catholic Church, Fani-Kayode Blasts Father Mbaka

Former Aviation Minister, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has slammed Reverend Father Ejike Mbaka over a trending video where he was heard pressuring former Anambra State governor, Peter Obi, to donate money to his church.

Mbaka, who is the Spiritual Director of the popular Adoration Catholic Prayer Ministry in Enugu state, had predicted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and his running mate, Mr Obi, will lose their 2019 presidential bid because the vice presidential candidate failed to openly donate money to his church project.

The Reverend Father had drawn condemnation from Nigerians who wondered if his prophesies were tied to money or church donations.

In his reaction, Fani-Kayode described Mbaka as a disgrace to the Catholic Church, calling on his superiors to call him to order.

‘‘I am disgusted by the words of Father Mbaka. It does not matter to me which presidential candidate he supports but what galls me is his begging for money from both sides in return for favourable prophesies,’’ the former minister said in a Facebook post.

‘‘This is disgraceful and his superiors in the Catholic Church should call him to order,’’ he said.
