#ZabarmariMassacre: Top Preacher Asks Trump To Help Nigeria ‘Shut Down’ Boko Haram

President of the United States based Samaritan Purse and Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, Franklin Graham, on Tuesday, urged the U.S. President, Donald Trump, to assist Nigerian authorities in defeating Boko Haram and other terrorist groups in the country.

Franklin Graham, whose late father, Billy, had personally counselled numerous US presidents ( Ronald Reagan, George Bush, Bill Clinton Barack Obama and Trump), frowned on the recent killing of farmers in parts of Borno state.

Reacting to the development via his Facebook page, he called for prayers against all forms of violence in Nigeria.

“Horrific evil. Islamic militants brutally slit the throats of farmers and agriculture workers in Nigeria on Saturday. It’s just sickening. I hope President Donald J. Trump will fully support and encourage Nigeria’s efforts to defeat Boko Haram and the other radical Islamic groups in this part of the world.

“These murdering terrorists in Africa need to be shut down. I ask that Christians worldwide support and pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Middle Belt and north of Nigeria where Islamic oppression and violent persecution is rampant,” he stated.

Recall that the United Nations (UN) in Nigeria had condemned the perpetrators of the act, describing it as ” gruesome attack against civilians carried out by non-state armed groups in villages near Borno State capital Maiduguri.”

Meanwhile, a federal government delegation as well as the North East governors had paid a condolence visit to the state.
