Zulum’s Convoy Attack: Shehu Of Borno Calls For Prayers Over Insecurity

The Shehu of Borno, Alhaji Abubakar Garbai El-Kanemi, has called on the people of the state to seek God’s intervention over the insecurity in the state through prayers.

Elkanemi made the call when he paid a traditional Sallah homage on the state Governor, Prof Babagana Zulum, at the Government House in Maiduguri, the state capital.

The royal father, who made the call in reaction to wednesday’s attack on the governor’s convey by Boko Haram terrorists, also declared that the state was no longer safe.

Recall that Zulum’s convoy was attacked by the insurgents while he was on a trip to Monguno and Baga towns to distribute food items to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

The Shehu said, “Your Excellency, we are not happy about what has happened in Baga the other time, it is very unfortunate and great pity.

“If the convoy of the whole Chief Security Officer of the state will be attacked, then nobody is safe, because he is the number one citizen of the state, he is the Chief Security Officer of the State.
