Adeboye’s Retirement: Fani Kayode Says FG Has No Business With The church

His rebuke follows the retirement of the general overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Enoch Adeboye, following the government Financial Regulatory Council of Nigeria, FRCN, law.

The law stipulates 20 years tenure ‎for heads of religious groups and civil society groups in the country.

The former minister, in a tweet, said that the government is only bent on attacking churches, adding that the federal government has no business with religious groups.

Meanwhile, the Federal Government has suspended the controversial law.

In a statement released on Monday by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Okechukwu Enelamah, the code was suspended in order to carry out a detailed review of its application.
