The All Progressives Congress has removed Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as the chairman of the Edo State Governorship Election Primary Committee.
In his stead, the party appointed Governor Bassey Otu of Cross Rivers State as the new committee chairman.
This followed Uzodinma’s declaration of Dennis Idahosa as winner of the primary election while the process was still ongoing.

THE WHISTLER reported that the party annulled Uzodimma’s declaration while directing that the process be completed. The exercise was further scheduled to be held on Thursday, February 22.
