Joshua Talks Tough Ahead Ngannou Bout In Saudi Arabia

Anthony Joshua has boasted that he is ready to face Francis Ngannou ahead of their clash in Saudi Arabia on March 8.

Ngannou stunned the world in October last year when he recorded a sensational third round victory over Tyson Fury before eventually losing the bout via split decision.

Joshua has admitted that Ngannou was impressive against the current WBC champion Fury and such performance will boost his confidence ahead of their bout.

Joshua said: “I just feel to myself I will always be here and ready to fight any time.

“He (Ngannou) had a good outing as well against Tyson Fury who is the current WBC champion. So I think it will be good for me to see where I’m at.”

He also reiterated that he is not scared of facing elite boxers despite the fact that he is yet to fight Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury.

Joshua said, “You know what it proved to me, I’ve signed to fight Fury, I’ve signed to fight Wilder, I’ve signed to fight a lot of people.

“I just do good business. I’m a good prizefighter, I don’t duck a challenge. I’m always up for it. I just feel like I’ll always be here and ready to fight any time.”

Joshua, however, believes the fight between him and Wilder will happen very soon despite the American failing to fulfil his part of the deal when everything was signed.

He said: “It’s a fight that fans want to see. I’m not saying it’s completely written off. It’s a fight where everything was signed and sealed. It just needed both of us to deliver. And he didn’t meet his end of the bargain.”

The 34-year-old also revealed that he is not considering retirement yet, no matter the outcome of the bout.

Joshua added, “On this quest for greatness how far can I push myself?

“How much can my brain keep on going until it gives up and I’m like: I can’t do it anymore?

“I want to keep on pushing my brain and trying new things. Get quicker, stronger, smarter in the ring. Face challenges, because I learn so much about myself.”

Joshua and Ngannou will slug it out at the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on March 8.
