Kanu, who made the allegation while addressing journalists in his Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia Palace, said his son never committed any crime in the country.
He, therefore, called on the Nigerian Government to release his Kanu as he had been incarcerated since 2015.
“Uwazurike was irked because his son raised alarm over huge monies he collected for the well-being of helpless Biafran youths which was misused.
“Uwazuruike masterminded the arrest of Kanu,” who doubles as the Director of Radio Biafra upon his arrival in Nigeria,” he said.
The IPOB leader is currently standing trial before Justice Binta Nyako of a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja for charges bothering on terrorism.
