Osinbajo Signs 3 Executive Orders

Osinbajo, on Thursday, singed “the promotion of transparency and efficiency in the business environment, designed to facilitate ease of doing business in Nigeria; support for local content in public procurement by the government, and timely submission of annual budgetary estimates by all statutory and non-statutory agencies,” orders.

Osinbajo’s exercise of presidential authority comes amid conflicting statements as to whether or not the Acting President will assent to the 2017 budget.

Recall that Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information, had said the presidency was yet to decide on who should sign the budget between President Muhammadu Buhari and the Acting President.
