BBNaija S10: Biggie Silences Kola For Divulging Secret

Big Brother Naija Season 10 housemate Kola has been punished for breaching confidentiality after he disclosed details of a red telephone conversation to fellow contestants.

Earlier last week, Kola picked up the red telephone and was asked by Big Brother if he would like to go on a pedicure and manicure treat at the cost of ₦1m from the grand prize. He declined the offer but went on to share parts of the conversation with housemates, against clear instructions not to do so.

As a consequence, Big Brother imposed a punishment requiring Kola to remain silent until further notice. Instead, he must communicate only through a writing pad provided by Big Brother.

Each time he joins a conversation, he is to write down his words, and the housemates he addresses must read them aloud before responding.

This process must be followed for the entire duration of every exchange.

The directive was read to the house by Head of House, Jason Jae. Big Brother stated:

“One of you has broken that trust by divulging details of a confidential conversation. Kola, you discussed part of your conversation on the red telephone despite being warned that you weren’t to discuss it with any of your fellow housemates during the course of your stay in Big Brother’s house. As punishment, you are forbidden from speaking until further notice.

“For the duration of this punishment, you may only communicate by writing on the writing pad that Big Brother has provided, except when speaking with Big Brother.

“Each time you are involved in a conversation, you have to write on the writing pad, and the housemates you are addressing must read your words aloud before responding, and that has to be continued for the duration of the conversation.

“As the self-appointed resident game analyst and Big Brother’s mystery buster, Big Brother hopes that by the end of this punishment, you will have learnt the importance of discretion and confidentiality within this house. Have fun, Big Brother.”

With only days left before the finale, Kola’s silence has added an unusual twist to the house dynamics, testing both his patience and the adaptability of fellow housemates.
