Buhari Replaces Ibrahim As DG NAPTIP

President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the swapping of positions by two heads of agencies under the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.

In a tweet on Thursday, the Presidency disclosed that the swap is in order to realize and sustain government’s abiding desire for effective and efficient service delivery in the two organisations.

The Federal Commissioner of National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and IDPs, Basheer Garba Mohammed takes over from Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim, as the Director General of National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP).

Similarly, Imaan Ibrahim is expected to take over as Federal Commissioner of National Commission for Refugees, Migrant and IDP.

Ibrahim, had replaced Julie Okah-Donli as the DG, NAPTIP in December 2020.

“Consequently, Mrs. Imaan Suleiman Ibrahim, the current Director General of @naptipnigeria, takes over from Sen. Basheer Garba Mohammed as the Honourable Federal Commissioner @ncfrmi_ng, while Senator Mohammed becomes the new Director General of NAPTIP.

“The President further directs that the changes should be effected after comprehensive handover notes to successors.”
