Chidinma Denies Killing Super TV CEO In Court

Chidinma Ojukwu has told the Lagos State High Court that she did not kill Super TV Chief Executive Officer, Usifo Ataga.

The Lagos State Department of Public Prosecution on Tuesday arraigned her and Adebayo Quadri on an eight-count charge bordering on murder, stealing and forgery.

But the two have pleaded not guilty to the charges.

Recall that Ataga was found dead in a short-let apartment in Lagos on June 16.

He was said to have lodged there with the lead suspect, Chidinma.

THE WHISTLER reported that the police eventually arrested Chidinma as the prime suspect.

Since her arrest, Chidinma had however, given conflicting information about Ataga’s death to the media.

She initially told the press that she killed Ataga; but later distanced herself from the murder.

The court adjourned to November 9 for commencement of trial.
